Get Involved Today!

Your involvement is crucial in shaping programs and initiatives that positively impact the lives of seniors in Pinellas County. By volunteering your time and expertise, you'll have the chance to network with like-minded professionals, share valuable insights, and help advance our mission. BLS offers numerous opportunities for smaller group interactions within its committees, so members are encouraged to "shop around" and find the best fit for their time and talents.

Explore our committees and be part of something meaningful with BLS!

Better Living for Seniors Pinellas (BLS Pinellas) is a networking group of dedicated professionals committed to integrating and strengthening programs to meet the needs of our local elderly population in Pinellas County. Under the guidance of the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. (AAAPP), we fundraise annually to offer grants to local 501(c)(3) organizations and government agencies that serve Pinellas County seniors.

We invite you to join the Grant Committee and help us make a significant impact in our community. For more information, please contact our chair, Kip Corriveau, at blspinellasgrants@gmail.com. Together, we can support vital services and programs for our seniors.

Silver Santas

We welcome volunteers to help organize and implement the Silver Santas program.

If you're interested in volunteering, please attend a monthly meeting of the Silver Santas Committee. Our meetings are held in person, with Zoom video conferencing available for those who prefer to join remotely.

Silver Santas is a volunteer-driven grassroots project that delivered 1,500 gift bags during the 2023 holiday season to isolated and low-income seniors through providers such as assisted living communities, senior housing (HUD) communities, and at home by guardians or professional caregivers.

For more information or questions about the Silver Santas program, please check out the Silver Santa's page and get in touch with our committee chair, Bob Dorion, at SilverSantas.Info@gmail.com.
