The Mental Health Awareness Committee invites you to be part of our dedicated & mutually supportive team. This committee plays a critical role in raising awareness on the unique mental health challenges faced by older adults. Our goal is to share resources and best practices to ensure our area seniors receive the support they need to thrive.

Here's the current issue of the MHA Bulletin* with lots of good resources and information all on one page! (*This link takes you to the resource on Canva.com, but you don't have to register for an account.)

This month, we continued our conversations with More on Relationships, focusing on how meaningful connections are built through curiosity and listening. We explored how approaching others with curiosity rather than assumptions—and truly listening to understand—can strengthen relationships, build trust, and reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.

Whether supporting older adults, caregivers, or one another as professionals, these simple communication skills foster empathy, deeper connections, and a greater sense of belonging.

We are hopeful to see all of you and hear your thoughts and feedback on ways to continue to support our senior population with Mental Health resources.

You’ll receive the Zoom link once you’ve registered. Please invite your colleagues.
