Silver Santas is an all volunteer grassroots project that delivered 1500 Gift Bags, in the 2023 holiday season, to isolated and low-income seniors through Providers, such as assisted living communities, senior housing (HUD) communities and at home by Guardians or Professional Caregivers.

How it Works

1. The needy seniors who are in danger of being forgotten this holiday season are identified by professional Guardians, Case/Social Workers, Senior Community/Activity Directors, and other professionals who work for Health Care Providers serving the senior population. These names can be submitted between October 1 - October 28, 2024 on the Silver Santas App. If you are registered as an approved Provider and need assistance contact us at silversantas.info@gmail.com. To signup as a Provider and submit recipient names please - Click Here 2. Gift tags for the recipients are placed on trees at various locations in Pinellas County starting November 6, 2023. Kind “Silver Santa Shoppers” select a tag and go shopping! To get a gift tag for a deserving senior - 2024 Gift Tags will be available November 4, 2024 3. Once items are purchased, the Silver Santa Shopper takes the items (Gift Bags are provided), along with the gift tag, back to the place where they picked up the tag, or to the alternate location printed on the tag by December 2, 2024. Monetary donations can be made by clicking Donate to Silver Santas or checks/money orders can be mailed to VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: In addition to providing the gifts, we welcome volunteers to help organize and implement the program.
