Giving Opportunities

BLS is affiliated with the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. and could not exist without its support. In turn, BLS works as a fund raising arm for the Area Agency on Aging. See "BLS & AAA together".

Help us help others:

Support the Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas Inc. The Area Agency on Aging of Pasco-Pinellas, Inc. is a 501c(3) private non-profit agency. Contributions are a critical part of the support they need to continue their work in assisting local needy seniors in Pasco and Pinellas counties. All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated.

Why should I donate?

Funding cuts have affected all non-profits.  But no one is more affected than those who have very little.  Such seniors depend on our many programs for help. Many of our programs have waiting lists and very tight budgets, leaving vulnerable seniors without vital services.  Some examples are that the meals programs (Meals on Wheels/home-delivered meals and Congregate meals) have waiting lists of 790 people; while the Homemaker program for physically disabled individuals has 1583 persons waiting (August 2013; Pasco and Pinellas counties).  Some things just can’t wait.
